Hamza Al Haddad

Dentist: DMD 2023 (Vilnius University, Lithuania)

My interests are in surgery and restorative dentistry, with a particular focus on implantology. I have completed Dr Paul Tipton's restorative programme, a mentorship with implantologist Dr Leanne Branton, and an oral surgery course with Dr Tamer Theodossy.

I speak English, Swedish and Arabic. Outside the practice I play padel, and hunt down specialty coffee around Edinburgh and the rest of Scotland.

Feras Elbiss

Dentist: MDDr 2022 (Charles University, Czech Republic)

For me dentistry is more than fixing teeth. I studied psychology alongside it, so I keep appointments relaxed, explain without jargon and never rush anyone.

I trained at Aspire Dental Academy in London, with postgraduate work in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, endodontics and occlusion. I am an Invisalign provider, and I work from bonding and clear aligners to veneers, root canals, surgical extractions and facial aesthetics, keeping as much healthy tooth as I can.

I speak English and Arabic. Outside work I head for the Scottish Highlands.

Christopher Sarafiant

Dentist: DMD 2023 (Vilnius University, Lithuania)

My interest is in restorative dentistry. I am an Invisalign provider, and I have completed Dr Paul Tipton's restorative programme and training in composite veneers.

I speak English and German. Outside work I walk Edinburgh and the rest of Scotland in search of good food. I am also a keen 3D printer, and hope to bring that into the practice as in-house lab work for my patients.

Zoe Kemp

Hygienist and Therapist: BSc (Hons) Oral Health Sciences 2024 (Edinburgh, UK)

Over the last eight years I have worked as a receptionist, a dental nurse and now a dental therapist. My main focus is helping patients feel at ease during their appointments, especially anyone who finds coming to the dentist difficult, and I enjoy the restorative side of the work that helps people feel happier about their smile.

Outside of work I enjoy the theatre, playing golf at different courses, baking, and travelling home to see friends and family.

Amir Hussein Shahrbabaki

Dentist: BDS 2024 (CEU Cardenal Herrera, Spain)

Dr Amir is a General Dentist with a strong interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He particularly enjoys helping patients improve their confidence through treatments such as composite bonding, veneers, clear aligners and minimally invasive restorative care. Amir is committed to providing a relaxed and welcoming environment, taking the time to understand each patient's individual needs and goals.

Outside of dentistry, Amir enjoys fitness, travelling and spending time with friends and family.

Ioannis (John) Rammos

Dentist: DDS 2024 (NKUA, Greece)

I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular interest in restorative dentistry. I am an Invisalign provider and enjoy helping patients achieve straighter, healthier smiles.

My approach is calm and patient-focused. I take the time to listen, explain treatment options clearly and help patients feel comfortable throughout their care.

I speak English and Greek. Outside dentistry, I am a keen guitarist and songwriter, and I enjoy travelling and exploring Scotland.

Vikas Sharda

Dentist: BDS 2011 (Glasgow, UK), Cert Imp Dent 2023 (UK), PG Dip Imp 2024 (UK)

Vikas graduated from the University of Glasgow and, during Vocational Training, was awarded 1st Prize for his Case Presentation from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He has a particular focus on dental implant and restorative dentistry, with an emphasis on careful treatment planning. He has undertaken further postgraduate training in implant dentistry and Short-Term Orthodontics, including 6 Month Smiles.

Outside of dentistry, Vikas enjoys travelling and playing five-a-side football.

I joined City Dental Care as a trainee dental nurse and have since qualified, with over a year of experience behind me. I particularly enjoy assisting with extractions and cosmetic dentistry, and being part of helping patients feel more confident about their smiles.

I care about creating a calm environment for every patient, and I am keen to keep developing my skills within dentistry.

I am a trainee dental nurse and have recently passed my exam. I find my job at City Dental Care very rewarding, helping patients feel confident and focusing on creating a positive patient experience. I have developed my skills by doing an implant course, and I'm interested in cosmetic dentistry and implants.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and retail therapy.

I am a dedicated Dental Nurse at City Dental Care. Alongside my clinical experience, I have five years of dental reception experience, giving me a strong understanding of both the clinical and administrative aspects of dentistry.

Outside of work, I enjoy maintaining an active lifestyle through Pilates and tennis. I also value spending quality time with my family and friends.

Lead Receptionist

I'm the Lead Receptionist at the practice, where I'm often the first friendly face you'll see! I love making our patients feel welcome and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. I'm also training as a dental nurse, so I'm able to support both our patients and the clinical team.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me with my friends, discovering a new coffee spot or enjoying a drink in an Irish pub!

I am a qualified Dental Nurse (GDC No. 308303) who loves helping patients feel comfortable and at ease. I have developed my skills through further training in areas including Childsmile, digital scanning, implant dentistry and impression taking.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and going on holiday.

Treatment Coordinator

As Treatment Coordinator (TCO), I support and reassure patients throughout their treatment, answer their questions and work closely with the implant dentist. I am a qualified dental nurse and former Practice Manager, with over 20 years' experience.

Outside of work, I am a die-hard football fan and love attending home and away games. I also enjoy quality time with my family and friends.
