Dermal Fillers in Edinburgh

Dermal fillers restore volume, soften lines and add definition — to the lips, cheeks, nose-to-mouth lines and other areas — using injectable gels, most commonly based on hyaluronic acid. At City Dental Care on Earl Grey Street they are provided for adults aged 18 and over, in a clinical setting, by Dr. Feras Elbiss, a dentist (GDC 303408; MDDr 2022, Charles University, Czech Republic) who has completed additional training in facial aesthetic treatments. A consultation and medical history come first: the honest conversation about what would suit your face comes before any treatment is booked.

How it works here

Free consultation first — price in writing before anything is booked

We take a deposit when you book, under our Failure to Attend policy, and it is refunded when you attend; we confirm the amount when you book.

Provided by Dr. Feras Elbiss, a GDC-registered dentist with additional training in facial aesthetic treatments. For adults aged 18 and over only. Realistic expectations set before you decide.

Areas Commonly Treated

  • Lips — volume, shape and definition, kept in proportion with the face
  • Cheeks — restoring volume that softens with age
  • Nose-to-mouth (nasolabial) lines and marionette lines
  • Chin and jawline definition

Which areas, which product and how much are decided at the consultation — and “less” is often the right answer. We aim for results that look like you on a good day, not like a treatment.

What to Expect — Honestly

Consultation and medical history:

What you'd like to change, what's realistic, which product suits, and whether anything in your history means we should hold off. Price in writing.

The treatment:

Numbing cream, then small injections into the planned areas. Usually well under an hour.

Afterwards:

Some swelling, redness or bruising for a few days is common; most people carry on with their day. We tell you what to avoid and what's normal versus what to call about.

How long it lasts:

Commonly six to eighteen months depending on product, area and person. Fillers are not permanent - which most people consider a feature.

Why Have Fillers at City Dental Care?

A named, trained dentist:

Dr. Feras Elbiss is a GDC-registered dentist with additional training in facial aesthetic treatments, working in a dental practice, not a salon.

Consultation before treatment:

Medical history, honest advice on what would and wouldn't suit you, and a written price. No pressure.

Evenings until 8pm:

Monday to Thursday (until 5pm on Friday), in the city centre a short walk from Haymarket Station.
